The two-part die-cast razor head has been expertly engineered to deliver a shave that is gentle on the skin but still very close and smooth. The classic Edwin Jagger closed comb head is chrome-plated and hand-polished before delivery. Famous among the wet-shaving community, this razor boasts an excellent reputation for the expert level of shaving it achieves. Machined from solid brass, triple-plated and hand-polished, the Edwin Jagger DE87BLAMZ has an elegant and sophisticated metallic design. The handle is finished with a scratch-resistant lined chrome plating, with 'EDWIN JAGGER' proudly engraved on the collar. With an overall length of 93mm (3.7"), this is a standard-sized razor. The practical 83mm (3.3") handle is designed to be easy to use with great levels of manoeuvrability and agility. The handle is light and small, but the head is heavy, which keeps you from taking a chance and cutting yourself, while still giving you the control you need to achieve a close, professional shave. At 68g (2.4oz), this is a decently weighted razor, providing a reliable shave. Slightly heavier than common disposable razors, you can use the extra weight to your advantage and allow the agile razor to glide across your face without having to apply pressure. Increasing demand and customer interest leads us to introduce our first shaving brush, the perfect accompaniment for a handmade razor. Edwin Jagger moves to a dedicated workshop in the Sheffield cutlery quarter and employs artisan craftsmen to assist in production. Inspired by razors of the 1930s, our longest running range, the Chatsworth Collection, is introduced. The new Edwin Jagger factory opens in the heart of Sheffield's historical manufacturing district. The arrival of new CNC computer-controlled turning machines allow Edwin Jagger to produce more sleek and modern designs. We introduce our expertly formulated range of soaps and creams, that give skin an incredible post-shave feeling. The first Edwin Jagger DE safety razor is launched. Each razor has DE8 in its name to honour the release of our single blade range. Edwin Jagger is appointed as one of only three Gillette Trusted Partners in the world, certifying the parts we use are genuine. Our 3ONE6 stainless steel razors are introduced, crafted in the UK's ‘Steel City’ and the pinnacle of Edwin Jagger shaving instruments. Edwin Jagger replaces animal hair with synthetic fibres in the majority of shaving brushes, a sustainable alternative to badger hair.
